Esther Ligthart was born in the Netherlands, but in her early twenties she ended up in Valenza Po, Italy. This is one of the most important places for jewelry production in the world and she really fell in love right there, with the world of jewelry.  Delighted by the craftsmen, the designers, the imagination, the beauty of gemstones and the art of creating a jewel, she decided to enter this very new world. In the next two decades she ran a jewelry store in Italy for 6 years, was a jewelry buyer for an e-commerce company, an account manager for Italian jewelry brands and had her own agency of jewelry brands. She wrote and gave various trainings sessions. Along the way, she developed a passion for telling people about jewelry.

Esther now lives in the Netherlands with her family and pets. She combines her love for telling stories, keeping up with trends and share all she reads and experiences in the jewelry world in this blog. She also writes as a freelance journalist for international trade magazines and luxury magazines. She consults brands and companies on a regular basis and is private jewelry consultant.
